We are looking for interns who have reached a high academic level. Preference will be given to individuals with a 2.1 degree, although a 2.2 degree will be considered if you can demonstrate additional skills or experience. They must have common sense, the ability to organize themselves and others, and be commercially aware. With a structured training program in specialized departments, you need to work in a team and have the personality and confidence to excel in everything you do, both inside and outside the workplace. You must have successfully completed your GDL and LPC before the proposed start date of the apprenticeship contract. We regret not funding course fees. Not only do we ensure that articling students know how to use all the tools and resources (technological or otherwise) they need to do their jobs, but we also provide training on a range of skills essential to their overall development as lawyers, from resiliency building to communication and time management. Our apprenticeship contract is divided into four six-month places in each selected department. We offer a training contract that encourages participation from the beginning, promotes individuality and builds on past experience. A training contract with Dawson Cornwell includes a seat in matrimonial law and a seat in international children`s law with additional experience in a combination of protection courts, private clients or property law. You should apply one to two years before the start of your apprenticeship contract, as it would be too early for first-year students. We are a niche family law firm and do not recommend applying unless you want to pursue a career in family law. During your two-year apprenticeship contract, you alternate between different seats. You will develop your skills and learn to advise clients calmly and deepen your business instincts and industry knowledge. Two of your seats are part of one of our Corporate and Finance groups and another of our litigation teams. For your third or fourth place, you have the option to move to one of our global offices or work directly in a client`s business. Each of them lasts six months and will help you determine where your interests lie and which area best suits your development skills.
