ASMC`s tax law courses are aligned with the DoD`s FM certification program! Download the zebra passage on the DoD FM alignment page here. The 2022 FISCAL PAL Group Courses are currently being delivered virtually, accommodating up to 35 agency employees for an amount of $3,500. Over the past year, the GAO has taught virtual group courses in ministries of the Interior; Internal security; justice; The Navy, the State and the CIA; inter alia. All courses are first come, first served. Students must email PALCourse@GAO.GOV to register for a course. In the subject line of the email, you need to specify (group course/date). All entries must be received by COB on Saturday, October 30, 2021. Below is a complete overview of the course. Only one POC from each agency can register their group. Confirmed registrations will only be sent to the POC agency. Depending on the volume of applications received, gao will no longer accept applications for the open registration rate for fiscal year 2022.
Each fiscal year, GAO offers at least one PAL course on an „open enrollment“ basis, which means that GAO enrolls individual federal employees for a fee of $300 per seat. The GAO generally begins accepting applications open on or after October 1 of a particular fiscal year (we do not consider applications received before October 1). The registration course open for fiscal year 2022 will be taught virtually on August 25, 2022. Visit the Archway Training Associates website for upcoming training dates, register for a course, or contact the instructor (Rich Arns, CDFM-A) for more information. The principles of credit law (PAL) are taught by experienced GAO lawyers. Starting in November 2021, GAO will offer several virtual training courses (see Registering for Group Courses). The course lasts 5 and a half hours, including breaks. It starts at 9:30 a.m. EST and ends around 3:00 p.m. The course generally qualifies for 6 credits of Continuing Vocational Education (CPE). Below is a complete overview of the course.
The ASMC offers tax law courses of 1, 2 and 3 days. These courses are available chapters that can be sponsored, or for individuals. Registration must be received 30 days before the start of the course. If GAO has offered you a seat, your agency must complete your registration by completing the two steps of GAO`s prepayment process, i.e. (1) executing an inter-agency agreement AND (2) using a government credit card to prepay more than PAY.GOV. If you do not complete this process (or request an extension) within 8 weeks of your course, you may lose your place. If your situation changes after GAO offers you a seat, please email PALCourse@GAO.GOV to refuse the seat and give it to someone else. The GAO Principles of Appropriations Law (PAL) course familiarizes participants with the objectives and principles of federal financial law. It combines lectures, case studies and student participation in a way that engages and challenges participants while maximising the exchange of practical and theoretical information. If your situation changes after GAO confirms your participation, please email PALCourse@GAO.GOV to decline the offer and give it to someone else.
